Brianna (died 430 IE) was a young female reporter. In 430 IE, she interviewed Marcus Leitman as he pressed for the Compact to create a presidency. She allowed Leitman to seduce her into accompanying him on a trip outside the Compact, much to the disapproval of Jez Salamacis.
At one stop, Leitman described a planet they visited as a possible former home of the Denisovans, an extinct species of human. In reality, they had visited Melekan, the toxic, dead former homeworld of the Gelt.
During the trip, Salamacis shoved her naked out an airlock. Her frozen body was pulverized by the ship’s EM drive as it engaged.
