JunoCorp

Type: Corporate Front / Biotechnology Firm
Headquarters: The Caliphate
Affiliation: Front for Juno; formerly owned by Hatch (Dasarius Interstellar subsidiary)

Summary:

JunoCorp was a biotechnology firm and clandestine front for the secretive organization known as Juno. Ostensibly a developer of advanced GMOs, the company served as a smokescreen for Juno’s covert activities across the Compact, including biological weapons research, infiltration, and data acquisition from defense and political institutions.

Marcus Leitman famously operated under JunoCorp’s cover as a GMO representative, exploiting the firm’s legitimacy to interface with leaders across multiple planetary systems while remaining hidden in plain sight.

JunoCorp was secretly acquired by Hatch, an autonomous investment division of Dasarius Interstellar, allowing Juno access to advanced proprietary technologies. The firm masked its inner workings, siphoned Hatch’s assets, and became a financial and ethical black hole that eluded oversight until events on Amargosa, Farigha, and Gilead brought its shadow dealings to light.

Following an investigation by Admiral Quentin Austin and Sarai Gaddar in Broken Skies, JunoCorp’s unraveling began. Its last known operational hub on Bromdar was destroyed when Eric Yuwono—acting under Cybercommand orders—executed director Mr. Caro and destroyed the firm’s sub-basement bio-lab containing the synthetic pathogen HSAR-429.

HSAR-429 was later confirmed as the weapon used to incapacitate President Baker ibn-Aziz and was revealed to be a hybrid virus designed to be stealth-deployed and difficult to detect—capable of mimicking benign ailments while carrying dormant engineered retroviruses.

Yuwono’s operation marked the effective end of JunoCorp as a functioning entity. With Caro eliminated, their pathogen vaults destroyed, and their final front on Bromdar exposed and razed, JunoCorp ceased all operations. Whatever remained of its infrastructure was seized by Compact authorities or purged by Cybercommand. However, as Frumentarius later noted, the fall of JunoCorp did not mean the end of Juno.

As Director Frumentarius warned during debrief:

“Notice I said ‘JunoCorp,’ not ‘Juno.’ Juno, the organization, remains.”
