Sansar Aryanna was a prominent leader of the Diplomatic Caste of the Realm who reluctantly ascended to the Seat of Supremacy following the death of the reigning Sovereign in 429 IE. As the Council deadlocked for months over a new Sovereign—refusing to name a regent for the underage heir, Akon—Aryanna ultimately offered herself for elevation, on the condition that Akon be named her heir and that no future challenge to his succession would be permitted.
She was known for her sharp political mind, unflinching diplomacy, and firm commitment to peace. Despite her personal desire for a life outside politics—including hopes of having children—she took the throne out of necessity to prevent a collapse in Realm governance during wartime.
Upon her ascension, she surrendered her name and became the Sovereign. Her reign was tragically short-lived. During her coronation, she received a “gift” from Jez Salamacis, a mysterious human envoy of the Compact, which allegedly contained the mummified heart of the ancient Sovereign Devold. A month later, Aryanna opened the box, releasing a lethal biotoxin. She and all within the Sovereign’s Residence perished, plunging the Realm once again into crisis.
