Warped is the second novel of the Homefront Arc and fifth novel of the Compact Universe series.
Warped follows Hideki Okada and Peter Lancaster, two former engineers of the Navy‘s Warp Project who are unceremoniously drafted back into service following the Gelt Incursion.
Okada and Lancaster are tasked with readying the Challenger, the Navy’s first warship with warp drive. They are assigned to take the war to the Realm, using warp’s stealth to deliver dirty bombs to a Gelt colony. Okada and Lancaster have objections and seek to find out the truth behind the mission.
