Bolden Dulak

Species: Gelt
Affiliation: Warrior Caste, The Realm

Bolden Dulak is a high-ranking general of the Warrior Caste and a prominent figure within the Realm government. Known for addressing the Seat of Supremacy in full battle armor, he is a staunch traditionalist and a dominant presence in Council deliberations. During the succession crisis following the Sovereign’s death in 429 IE, Bolden opposed both a regency and the rise of unconventional candidates. Nevertheless, he ultimately endorsed Sansar Aryanna for Sovereign, influenced by a complex relationship marked by personal loyalty and unresolved romantic tension.

In Suicide Gambit, Bolden does not appear on Hanar, but the coup and its aftermath ripple through the Realm’s leadership. The assassination of Tuvat Cleese—a longtime Council ally—and the attempted usurpation of Tishla’s rule prompt Bolden to reevaluate the vulnerabilities of Realm governance. Reports of JT Austin executing the insurgent commander responsible and presenting his severed head to the Sovereign are met with private approval. Though once wary of Tishla and JT as outsiders to the Warrior ethos, Bolden begins to see their actions as a brutal but necessary reinforcement of Realm order. While still a voice for tradition, he now views unorthodox leaders not as threats—but as essential instruments of survival in a changing galaxy.
