Susan Areestes is a Compact Navy trooper attached to the Household Guard during the Kaku V operation. Young and relatively inexperienced, she shows early signs of becoming an exceptional soldier, quickly earning the attention of Lieutenant Mitsuko Yamato during training and field operations.
Areestes displayed strong admiration for the monarchy, particularly for Edward Windsor, but maintained her focus and professionalism under pressure. She deployed with Mitsuko’s team to rescue human hostages on Kaku V and distinguished herself during the operation, including providing critical cover during hostile engagements with the native cephalopods.
Mitsuko intended to recruit Areestes for future service, whether remaining in the Navy or transitioning to the Household Guard after the operation.
