The Misty Mountains were a mountain chain on Amargosa. Because of the Gelt aversion to fighting in mountains, the region was considered relatively safe during the Laral Occupation of Amargosa.
The chain bisected the inhabited continent, dividing a third of it on the western side from the Central Plains and eastern coast. The Transcontinental Maglev wound through the mountains as well as sevral roads.
The name is derived from several sources that use the name “Misty Mountains,” including Lord of the Rings and several songs and poems referring to a “Misty Mountains” range.
