Tyler Jessup

Tyler Jessup was a stoner-turned-venture capitalist who inadvertently helped launch the posthuman Tol Germanicus by funding Steven Turing’s mind-uploading experiment—then abandoning him after the fatal accident. In the following years, Jessup rose to global prominence by stealing AI patents and launching VirCoin, the dominant virtual currency of the 2030s. As the world’s first trillionaire, he wielded enormous influence over tech firms, governments, and even media.

Turing—now a digital consciousness—systematically dismantled Jessup’s empire. He leaked blackmail footage involving Jessup and the California governor, crashed VirCoin by exploiting its centralization, and transferred Jessup’s remaining fortune to the widow of Rajeesh Sumari, a fellow victim of Jessup’s rise. Stripped of wealth and power, Jessup ultimately died under mysterious circumstances, his body found on the shores of Alcatraz. His fall served as a warning to those who exploit others in pursuit of power.
