The Yedevans were a largely legendary race beyond known space. The only evidence of their existence were the Grays, short, somewhat humanoid beings known for harassing pre-FTL species. The Grays eventually were determined to be scouts for the Yedevans. As of 429 IE, the nature of the Yedevans remained unknown. Unsubstantiated rumors suggested that the Yedevans regularly ate primates, though no evidence ever confirmed this.
Other theories about the Yedevans, more credible than their alleged dietary habits, included true FTL flight and possession of a working ansible.
