The Yedevans are an ancient and highly evolved species whose true origins remain unknown. Though they appear to be native to the Zeta Reticuli region, it is unclear whether they evolved there or merely use it as a frequent operational hub. Once composed of over a thousand distinct species, the Yedevans gradually merged into a single group consciousness through natural evolution.
Their physical manifestations—commonly known to humans as the “Grays”—are biological drones, each a temporary extension of the greater mind. Human explorers in “The Nodes” witness these drones willingly absorbed back into a central entity to transfer knowledge and biomass. Despite their overwhelming technological superiority, the Yedevans consider humanity too immature for direct contact, choosing instead to study them from a distance.
