Hephaestus is the innermost planet of the Helios system and orbits so close to its parent star that it is frequently described as a “blob of lava.” Composed mostly of molten rock and subjected to intense tidal forces and solar radiation, Hephaestus has no atmosphere to speak of and is geologically unstable on a planetary scale. Its incandescent surface and extreme proximity to Helios make it visible in the night sky of Tian under certain conditions, but its scientific or commercial relevance is considered minimal due to its hostile environment.
