Western Ocean

The Western Ocean was an ocean on Amargosa. Salty, like Earth’s oceans, it boarded the planet’s “inhabited” continent on its western shore. Among the islands off the coast of the continent, Nebraska Island served as a hiding place for a pair of projection-drive ships in reserve.

The coastal region had a sparse population devoted mainly to fishing.. The people lived in small villages and used local quarries to mine needed raw materials.
