The U Thant was a Woodrow Wilson-class starship in operation as of 429 IE. It located and recovered the abandoned Etrusca Explorer, a large freighter missing since taking on seven weapons of mass destruction stored on Marilyn. The U Thant towed the ship to Jefivah for inspection.
The ship also saw action in the liberation of Amargosa, one of several capital ships.
